Initial Consultation

The first step for us is to get to know you and your lifestyle. There are many reasons why people want to build a custom home, and we want to understand what your reason is.  Meeting you will also help us show you who we are and what our purpose is.

At this point, our team at A&C Irwin Builders can also assess your land with a site visit by the Builder (Ashley), and talk to you about position, keeping in mind the size and shape of your land along with your budget. If you have your own plans, we can advise you on the suitability for the site.

Design

Once we get to know you and your goals and what you envision your life in your new home to look like, it’s time to start designing.

A&C Irwin Builders is a small custom building business that offers one on one consultation with the builder through the entire building process.

Some clients come to us with their own plans and we work with the client to finalise those. We also offer the flexibility to use your own architect or drafts person, or alternatively, we offer our own drafting services with an expert local drafts person that can work with you to create the perfect home.

Tender

The next step is for A&C Irwin Builders to arrange quotes and prepare a tender. We pride ourselves on being able to negotiate the best prices for your clients without compromising on quality and design. Once tender is ready, we present it to you and answer any questions you have.

Review of Plans

Your preliminary draft plans will include: Site Plan, Floor Plans and Elevations. At this stage, it’s important to make all the hard decisions on your plan, because this is your chance to make alterations.

Once we are both confident your plans are a reflection of the home you desire, you will have to complete a final review before signing them off. A&C Irwin Builders will help you through this whole process. Working with you and outlining issues up-front means we can ensure your home is completed on time and within budget.

Approvals and Contract

It’s time to submit your final plans to the relevant authorities for approval. You have two options: you can choose a DA to Council or, if applicable, a Complying Development Certificate (CDC).

Your Building Agreement / Contract will then be prepared and issued to you for review and signing.

Construction

The exciting time of construction begins. It's time for A&C Irwin Builders to start building your new home!

The builder will work with you during the construction of your new home with regular site meetings to discuss the different stages of construction. Our team will keep in regular contact with you and you are free to contact the builder by phone or email with any concerns or enquiries. Our goal is to ensure your home is built to the highest standard.
